Increasing engagement with user-centered design

Leading trading platform CMC Markets approached The Crown & Co to reimagine their website to align more closely with their updated product and value proposition.

Our team of designers and developers worked with internal product managers to design, develop, test, and iterate designs to better understand user needs and expectations. The resulting website was launched and tested, with early figures showing a 50% uplift in new account applications from redesigned site areas.

Following the success of this project, the team was asked to develop a fresh approach to email campaigns for customers at various stages of onboarding to the platform. Taking insights from the website research and development, we worked alongside the CMC Markets team to develop new messaging and a brand-new structure and design for email communications. As part of A/B testing, the ‘Welcome’ email campaign for new customers saw open rates increase by 26%, click-through rates by 27%, and account value increase by 252% and 62% for spread bet and CFD customers respectively.
